Yup, that is correct. Us foreigners had our Public Talk and Watchtower Study on Saturdays. Where there were 2 foreign congs it was alternate years for either a morning meeting or evening meeting but still on a Saturday. Book study was on a Thursday and TMS was on Tuesdays and even after 5 years we all still called it Tuesday Book Study but knew whoever was speaking meant Thursday!

How many more congregations can they add to our Kingdom Hall?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inlast year the 3 congregations that share our kingdom hall decided to add a fourth congregation to join .
that means that our sunday meeting was pushed back to a 6:00 p.m. start and end around 7:45 p.m. not only is that too late of a start but all of our sunday's will be wasted.
you will now need to leave around 5:00 p.m. and get home around 8:30 p.m.. i hardly attend now and find it even harder too make this new time slot.

In Spain 4 congs is the norm. 2 Spanish, 1 English and 1 German with the year's text in all 4 languages. No pictures though just writing. I used to love meetings on Saturday cos then we had the whole of Sunday free for swimming and bbqs!

i believe there may be some marginal history although not much.
i think alot of folk tales and regional myths are contained in the old testament.

I believe none of it is inspired and it is all written by men. Some might be actual historical accounts about real people and events and there are some wise philosphies and sayings but I will never live my life by it again. For me now it is just an old book and belongs in a museum under lock and key so that no-one can use it's words to cause harm or oppress or discrimate against a fellow human being. Just my humble opinion for what its worth.

I did a quick search on the charities commission here in UK for Hampshire. There are 38 KHs and although I didn't go through all their accounts most were in profit averaging at least £5k a year or more and one made £13k. Not bad for a not for prophet (oops, I mean profit) organization!!!

Celebrating birthday: ground for disfellowshipping?
by behemot ina friend of mine (inactive) is being threatened with a judicial committee because he took his children to schoolmates' birthdays and because he celebrated his wife's birthday.. do you know if celebrating birthday is sufficient ground for setting a judicial committee?.
the ks2010 does not mention birthdays specifically, and i feel like it would be quite a stretch to make it fall under the "apostasy" category (subcategory "celebrating false religion holidays" or "idolatry").. what do you think?.
